The original idea was to have two distinct and contrasting views of the same jewel.
A barrier protects the precious pearl, from above it resembles a labyrinth, a visual cue that focuses attention at the centre.
From the side a musical sequence of diamonds are emerged in pure gold.
The imposing structure is very comfortable to wear, the weight is well distributed.
A technical note: the union of silver and pure gold is achieved via controlled melting, and the malleability of the pure gold allows the join with the silver spiral to be covered via hammering.

Keum-boo (also Kum-Boo or Kum-bu- Korean "attached gold") is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to apply thin sheets of gold to silver, to make silver-gilt. Traditionally, this technique is accomplished by first depleting the surface of sterling silver to bring up a thin layer of fine silver. Then 24 carat gold foil is applied with heat and pressure - mechanical gilding - to produce a permanent diffusion bond.
